Legal Project Manager – LATAM

Your mission

Legal And Risk Management

• Act as the main contact with external legal partners to implement legal processes, compliance programs, and regulatory requirements across LATAM.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring compliance with evolving laws and internal policies.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for new business initiatives and provide actionable recommendations.

Contract and Policy Management:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from drafting to updating, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement corporate policies, privacy policies, and terms and conditions to comply with regional laws and global standards.

Training and Risk Awareness:

• Design and deliver legal risk management training, fostering awareness across the organization.
• Advise teams on compliance with legal obligations in contracts and policies.

Audit and Reporting:

• Conduct internal legal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management procedures.
• Present regular legal risk reports to the executive team.

Your profile

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s or specialization in Corporate Law or Risk Management is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate legal advisory, risk management, or compliance, with focus on financial services or fintech.
• Experience in both law firms and in-house roles is highly valued.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of cross-border regulatory frameworks (data privacy, AML, financial regulations) across LATAM.
• Familiarity with LATAM’s financial systems and payment industry is advantageous..

Core Competencies:

• Ability to manage multiple legal projects concurrently with high attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate legal risks.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
• Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams.
